Our Mission
The Summit County Department of Job and Family Services will assure that the residents of Summit County have access to resources and services necessary to obtain and sustain quality of life, self-determination and self-sufficiency to build stronger families and a better community.
What we do
We administer public assistance and social-service programs for Summit County residents, including food and cash assistance, Medicaid eligibility, publicly funded childcare, Adult Protective Services, workforce programs, and support for contracted community services. We also bring case-management assistance into neighborhoods to increase access to services.
Our approach
We aim to make services easier to understand and access, treat every resident with dignity, protect confidential information, and connect people with the right local or state resources.
